MARELLA X TARA X MILLA
FUTURE / PERFECT

Marella and Milla meet in the Laguna of Venice. This is for a very special occasion: the Future/Perfect performance, conceived by the American artist Tara Subkoff. She chose the American model and actress Milla Jovovich, the fashion icon and testimonial of the brand, as protagonist.
Marella collection was appointed to become part of the project: the simple and defined shapes, the strong details and the vibrant colours of the brand are just perfect.
The Italian brand is sponsoring the event which will be held one shot on May the 28th 2013 (2PM-8PM) in the Garden of the Malipiero Barnabò Palace at the same time as the vernissage of the 55th International Art Exhibition organized by La Biennale di Venezia.
Marella staff has collaborated with Subkoff for the creation of a pop colour capsule of dresses and jackets, specially designed for the performance and key element for the installation.
Vitality and enthusiasm, these are the main themes of this creative meeting.

Milla will interpret a character that the artist has defined as the ultimate consumer and she’ll only be able to interact with the outside world thanks to electronic devices, which she’ll use to order online an incredible quantity of objects, ranging from works of art, garments and accessories from Marella. All this from inside a semi-transparent plexiglass habitat for six hours under the constant stare of the public.
The space, initially with a transparent desk and bed, will fill up with packages and their contents until total saturation point.
The works of art that Milla will order online are part of an exceptional endorsement of many contemporary artists: Barbara Kruger, Cecily Brown, Ed Ruscha, Jeff Koons, John Baldessari, Julian Schnabel, Karen Kilimnik, Lisa Yuskavage, Richard Phillips, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Yoko Ono.

so we’re finally in Venice for Biennale and i’m doing an art/installation piece for my friend, contemporary artist Tara Subkoff. Its super hard to get online here, so making albums is a bit challenging! lol!
