on Thursday Milla Jovovich returned to the catwalk once more as she took part in a show during Fashion Fest Liverpool in Mexico City. And showing exactly why she rose to fame as a model in the nineties, the 37-year-old stunned as she strutted her stuff in a strapless black dress. Grinning widely, clearly delighted to be back where she began, Milla sashayed along in the gorgeous gown which featured a long train. Her short brunette bob was styled sleekly and she added a touch of deep rose coloured lipstick to complete her head-turning look.

Earlier in the day Milla attended a presentation wearing a stylish little black dress. The high-necked number, which featured frayed edges and beaded detail, fell to the middle of thighs showing off her slim and toned legs, which were elongated by a pair of peep toe heels.

The star seemed in high spirits as she chatted away, showing she is definitely still passionate about fashion. It was day of clothes changes for Milla as she was also seen wearing a pair of black trousers with a black shirt with sheer and leather detail. And when she arrived she showcased her more casual style– a pair of leopard print trousers and a grey jumper featuring gold sequin detail.

Ahead of the day, the star tweeted: ‘It’s so amazing 2 b in Mexico and part of #FashionFest for @LiverpoolMexico. Can’t wait 4 the fashion show 2night!’

The trip to Mexico came after a family break by Lake Powell, which straddles the boarder between Utah and Arizona.

Today, Milla and Paul’s wedding anniversary, they have 4 years together. How it all was:

The two met while working on the 2002 film Resident Evil, which Anderson wrote and directed, and in which Jovovich starred. Anderson proposed to Jovovich in 2003, but the two separated for a period of time before becoming a couple again.

Milla Jovovich tied the knot with long-time director beau Paul W.S. Anderson in back garden of their Beverly Hills home. Actress Milla Jovovich got quite close to Daft Punk in a new photo spread for CR Fashion Book, and HuffPost Entertainment is happy to premiere a few photos from the shoot.

In the spread, Jovovich wears the same Saint Laurent get-up that Lady Gaga donned for a Chateau Marmont date with her boyfriend. (True fashion fans will also recognize it from the CR Fashion Book party during Paris Fashion Week, when Kate Moss wore it.) Of course, Daft Punk is wearing their signature Saint Laurent suits.

The idea behind the shoot is a digital love story, and a celebration of the massive success of “Random Access Memories,” Daft Punk’s comeback album. We’re told the shoot is “inspired not by ‘memories’ but by impressions of the future, symbolic of Daft Punk’s new approach to music in the digital age.”

“This album is about technology going toward humanity, in a world where humanity is going towards technology,” the robots said. “We tried to capture robotic emotions with music, replacing this time our electronic machines by real human beings. After having made three albums, we were looking for a fourth album we had not yet done. We’ve been making music as Daft Punk for 20 years, and we are always trying to feel like beginners. Going in a studio for the first time felt exciting because it was something new. With ‘Random Access Memories,’ we ultimately decided we wanted to do a record we could not have done at home.”

NEW ALBUMS:

“New haircut!” the 37-year-old captioned the first picture of her shorter ‘do. She quickly followed up with six stunning close-ups and four videos. In between her constant posting, the actress spent the day on the set of a photo shoot and then jetted off to Toronto, Canada to start filming her latest project Pompeii with Kiefer Sutherland.

Great googlymoogly, Milla Jovovich is gorgeous. She’s gorgeous on the red carpet, in paparazzi snaps and when she’s getting paid to be super close to society’s idea of perfect. Despite the fact that even a knockout like her gets the photoshop treatment(and gets paid for it), Milla Jovovich thinks that the airbrushed images in the media reap lofty repercussions. Jovovich’s heart is in the right place, but her actual comments are a little bit off. She said:

”I feel like in America you know there are two strings; either obesity or anorexia and I think both of them come from this perception that people in magazines actually look that way,”

Yes! Aggressive doctoring does set up literally unreal expectations for women. We think people in magazines do actually look like those fantasy pictures because they’re supposed to be photographs of real people. I’m not quite sure I follow her logic on how photoshopping leads to obesity, but I agree that it contributes to negative body image and the like. Also anorexia is far more nuanced than a yearning to look like a “super goddess” fashion model, but yeah, airbrushing sucks big time.

Leeloo went on to say:

“So everybody tries to be airbrushed, everybody wears so much make-up to look perfect but just end up looking crazy, you know? I think European women are just much more chilled with it, they kind of don’t expect that they should look like a magazine walking down the street, because nobody does.”

Totally agree, the pressure to groom and preen so much is awful! But I don’t think we should be criticizing other people for “looking crazy” for succumbing to that gross pressure you’re talking about. Plus, I hate the American women are like this and European women are like that dichotomy; it tends to make American women out as vain, high strung, or just generally worse compared to their/our European counterparts. I’m an American girl and I get what she’s saying, but it’s 2013 and the internet is a thing and ugh, I’m sure European women and girls are stressed out about their bodies too. I bet some of them even wear “crazy” makeup.

I wonder if there is anything models and celebrities who get photographed frequently can do to curb egregious photoshopping. Like, can they stipulate that images of them used must actually represent what they look like? Add a “no P.shopping” clause to their contracts? I don’t know, I’d definitely let myself be photoshopped because I’m a dirtbag and I want to see what I’d look like in the uncanny valley.

The site is reporting that Jackie Chan, Wesley Snipes, Nicolas Cage, and Milla Jovovich are all in “advanced negotiations” to appear in The Expendables 3, although we’re not sure how big their respective roles will be.

This is the first time that Jovovich’s name has cropped up in connection with the movie, though Sly has said that he was looking to add more of a female dynamic to the third outing. And she certainly brings enough arse-kicking credentials from her work on the Resident Evil franchise and elsewhere.

Feltheimer said production on the sequel will start in August. Lionsgate is eyeing a 2014 release date.

Marella collection was appointed to become part of the project: the simple and defined shapes, the strong details and the vibrant colours of the brand are just perfect.
The Italian brand is sponsoring the event which will be held one shot on May the 28th 2013 (2PM-8PM) in the Garden of the Malipiero Barnabò Palace at the same time as the vernissage of the 55th International Art Exhibition organized by La Biennale di Venezia.
Marella staff has collaborated with Subkoff for the creation of a pop colour capsule of dresses and jackets, specially designed for the performance and key element for the installation.
Vitality and enthusiasm, these are the main themes of this creative meeting.

Milla will interpret a character that the artist has defined as the ultimate consumer and she’ll only be able to interact with the outside world thanks to electronic devices, which she’ll use to order online an incredible quantity of objects, ranging from works of art, garments and accessories from Marella. All this from inside a semi-transparent plexiglass habitat for six hours under the constant stare of the public.
The space, initially with a transparent desk and bed, will fill up with packages and their contents until total saturation point.
The works of art that Milla will order online are part of an exceptional endorsement of many contemporary artists: Barbara Kruger, Cecily Brown, Ed Ruscha, Jeff Koons, John Baldessari, Julian Schnabel, Karen Kilimnik, Lisa Yuskavage, Richard Phillips, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Yoko Ono.
