Milla Jovovich Shares More Details of ‘Resident Evil 5’

Milla Jovovich has unveiled various details of her upcoming sci-fi thriller “Resident Evil: Retribution”. Through a series of spoilerish tweets over the weekend, she revealed what characters are in and out, and plot details of the fifth “Resident Evil” film.
Jovovich announced that Wentworth Miller and Ali Larter will not return to the upcoming installment of the video games-adapted film franchise.

“Chris, Claire and K-Mart get abducted by Umbrella in this one, so no [Miller] won’t be in this movie,”

so she wrote to a fan.

The 35-year-old Ukrainian actress furthermore clarified that Jensen Ackles will not play Leon Kennedy as rumored before, because he is now busy working on a TV show. Nonetheless, she confirmed that Leon and other fan favorite characters like Ada Wong and Barry Burton will appear in the next film.
Jovovich continued:

“Shawn Roberts is back as [Albert] Wesker and more badass then ever! Of course its not so easy to kill him!”

She also added that the new film will include new creature called Las Plagas parasite.
As for the plot, the former wife of director Luc Besson shared that there will be more action scenes in

“R.E. 5”, including a major one which will be shot in Red Square, Moscow and another one that involves a Rolls-Royce getting shot. She spilled the beans on her action scene, “I’ve got an amazing fight with a bunch of zombies and an epic fight with Jill Valentine (Sienna Guillory)!”

In a related news, Jovovich responded to rumors about the possibility of a sixth “R.E.” film.

“We would love to make a sixth where everyone is back together,” she dished. “But the fans will decide after they see this one!”

“Resident Evil: Retribution” will begin the production on October 16 with Paul W.S. Anderson still tackling the helming duty. Jovovich will reprise her role as Alice, while Boris Kodjoe will be back to play Luther West. The film is slated for a September 14, 2012 release in U.S. theaters.
