‘We needed that female energy’ says the actor

Now that “Resident Evil” star Milla Jovovich has signed on for “The Expendables 3,” the boys’ club of the blockbuster action franchise has officially been broken – and returning star Terry Crews couldn’t be happier about it.

“We needed that female energy, man. We needed that. it was really getting to be a bit of a guy fest…[or as] they call it [sometimes], a ‘sausage fest,” laughed the actor, stopping by for a chat while doing press for “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2” at San Diego Comic-Con. “We needed that estrogen mixed with testosterone to create a whole new brand.”
